Join our team as a Mail Sorting and Transaction Decision Specialist where your attention to detail and decision-making skills will be essential in processing complex transactions efficiently.

This position involves performing complex sorting and decisioning of non-standard or rejected transactions. You will operate high-speed mail extraction and scanning equipment, including the OPEX 150, and follow medium to high complexity client instructions. The role requires maintaining accuracy and productivity in a contract position based in Monterey Park, CA.

• EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Contract
• PAY RATE: $17.50 per hour
• LOCATION: Monterey Park, CA 91754
• SCHEDULE: 6 am to 2:30 pm, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday; Days off Monday and Saturday

Responsibilities

• Pull rejected transactions from all processing areas using reports and audit trails with general knowledge of operations.
• Perform basic level transaction sorting and decision-making.
• Header batched items with control documents and processing header.
• Perform high-speed mail extraction and scanning on moderate to complex client handling using OPEX 150 equipment.
• Process medium to high complexity client sorting and transaction decisioning according to client instructions.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity in accordance with department standards.
• Assist with training when needed.

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience mail sorting
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to read and make decisions.
• Ability to work well independently and with others on work for all clients.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to change and learn new processes as the business evolves.
• Must meet established standard minimums for productivity and accuracy.
