Bull Run Library in Manassas, VA is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for serving the public to join their Youth Services Department as a Library Assistant. This staff member will spend the majority of their time working on our Service Desk assisting customers. This staff member will assist youth services staff with collection maintenance, data entry, and running reports. They may also assist with occasional youth services programs, displays and outreach. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience on a Youth Services team.

Minimum Requirements:
8th grade education and 6 months experience in a customer service role working in a public library, school library, bookstore, or other retail setting

The position may require travel to other branches within the system. A DMV check will be conducted for employees who drive while on County business.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. Scheduling flexibility is necessary. Scheduled hours will fall within the following operating hours: Monday through Wednesday, 9 am – 8 pm, and Thursday through Sunday, 9 am – 5 pm. Schedule includes one evening per week and rotating weekends. Hours may change based on the needs of the library.
Starting Salary Range:
$19.41 – $24.88 / hour
